Eran Melkman is PhD candidate and research assistant in School of Social Work at Bar Ilan University.
Research interests: Youth at risk, Out of home care for troubled youth, Transition from care to independent living.
Eran earned a B.A. in Psychology at the Hebrew University and a B.A. and M.A. in Social Work at Bar Ilan University. He completed his master's thesis on Risk and Protective Factors for Problem Behaviors Among Out of Home Adolescents".
His Ph.D. work will focus on care leavers and their transition to adulthood.
As a practitioner Eran worked as a social worker with risk at youth in a community welfare setting and a residential setting, his most recent position being a therapeutic team leader in a residential treatment facility for troubled youth.
